Procedure to turn on Windows Firewall in Windows Vista
1. Default Microsoft Vista will turn on the built in firewall program.
2. To check Firewall status, click and select Start -> Settings -> Control Panel. Double click Windows Firewall.
3. To turn on the Firewall, click the Change settings link.
4. Click the General Tab, select On (recommended).
5.Click the Exceptions Tab, add exceptions by checking the Programs and Services which require network connections. Click OK to save and exit.
