If you cannot access a certain website because pop-up is
blocked in your IE browser, right click or double click
on the yellow bar near the URL to enable
"temporarily allow the pop-up".
If you wish to enable pop-up windows in your browser at
all times, then click Tools->Pop-up
Blocker->Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.
Click View-> Toolbars->
turn on "Standard Buttons, Address
Bar, Links" and turn all others off.
If you have installed the Acrobat Reader 7.05,
it will install the Yahoo Tool Bar by default and enabled
the "pop up blocker" which is different from the
winXP SP2 pop-up blocker. So, if your WinXP was upgraded
to SP2, two pop-up blockers will be in effect.
Solution: Uninstall "Yahoo Toolbar"
by clicking Start-> "Control Panel"
-> "Add or Remove Program"
or,
In the Yahoo Toolbar (as shown below), click the "pop
up blocker" icon. Ensure the Pop-up Blocker is disabled
or unchecked.
If you have installed the Google Toolbar,
you can click the IE 'View' button ->
'Toolbars' -> untick 'Google'
to disable its effect.
