Booking of PC Laboratories

  1. The PC laboratories can be booked for instructional classes related to the activities of the University. For UGC-funded activities, no charges will be levied.
  2. Departments are first advised to check the facilities and opening hours of the PC laboratories to make sure that the facilities in the laboratories can meet the class requirement.
  3. Departments can first call the General Office at 2859 2491 to check the availability of the laboratories. However, no reservation can be made over the phone. All booking requests are handled on first-come-first-served basis upon the receipt of the application forms.
  4. All bookings of PC laboratories for conducting non-UGC funded activities, whether in part or in full, are subject to charges. The application rates are published in the form "Application for Booking of Computer Laboratories" (CF-43a or 43b) which are subject to change without prior notice.
  5. All booking requests should be submitted through the application form as mentioned in item 4 above at least a week before the commencement date of the class.
  6. All cancellation requests should be made at least 24 hours before the date of booking.
  7. As all PC laboratories are operated as open access facilities, booking should not be made for 3 consecutive days or over 3 days in a week.
  8. All applications submitted by students or student societies have to be endorsed by the Student Centre.

Networked PC Stations in Centrally Administered Classrooms

Network-connected PC stations have been installed in the University's centrally administered classrooms.

Booking for these classrooms must be done through the Exam Unit of the Registry (tel. 2859-2445).
