  1. Access Moodle

    Moodle can be accessed via HKU Portal. On My eLearning tab1, select "Click to access your Moodle courses, if any"2, a list of courses you are teaching is retrieved from Student Information System (SIS).

    Steps:
    1. Login HKU Portal at https://hkuportal.hku.hk
    2. Select My eLearning tab1
    3. Select Click to access your Moodle courses, if any2

    5. Course list retrieved from Student Information System (SIS).
      1. Click the link Moodle1 next to the course name to manage the moodle course, or
      2. Click the icon 2 next to the course name to create a Moodle course.

  2. Edit Course Settings

    The course home page in Moodle looks like the figure below.

    Teachers can edit information and settings of their Moodle courses. The edit page is available in Edit settings1 under Course Administration. Course summary, availability to students, etc are items that can be edited.

    Steps:
    1. In the course home page, click Edit settings1 under Course Administration from the left menu
    2. Edit the course settings in Edit course settings
    3. Click Save at the bottom of the page

  3. Edit Course Contents

    Teachers can add, delete, or update course materials of their Moodle courses. To enable editing, click Turn editing on2. Then you will see two drop-down lists in each section. You may add resources by choosing items from the "Add a resource" drop-down list. Resources include files, folders, labels, web pages, and URLs. Besides, you may add activities by choosing items from the "Add an activity" drop-down list. Activities include assignments, quizzes, chatrooms and forums/discussion boards.

    Steps:
    1. Click Turn editing on2
      1. Click "Add a resource" drop-down list or
      2. Click "Add an activity" drop-down list
