Usage Statistics on Access Everywhere Network (ACEnet) and Hall Network

The monthly statistics of usage of ACEnet and Hall Network from December 1, 1998 is now on line and users can query the usage of the network points in various buildings and residential halls via the URL http://www.hku.hk/local/cc/network/stat/buildings .

Users can choose a particular year of statistics out of the available ones by selecting the corresponding year in the drop-down choice box. Unless users specify explicitly their required year, the default is "All Years", in which case a table showing the pointers of the monthly statistics of all available years will be displayed.

Users can then proceed to choose the statistics of any particular month by clicking on the pointer located in the second column of the table.

For example, if the user has chosen to browse the statistics of December, 1998, the following screen will appear:

1. The "ACEnet Usage Statistics By Buildings" or "Hall Network Usage Statistics By Halls" statistics show the total usage (in connection hours), the total number of sessions and the average usage per session made in each building.

2. The "By Days" statistics show the total usage (in connection hours), the total number of sessions and the average usage per session for all buildings/halls per day.

The usage statistics are refreshed daily. Thus, the statistics of the current month are also available and show the network usage information up to the day before.
