ADINA/AUI Version 7.4 Available on HKUSUA

We are pleased to announce that the ADINA package on the HKUSUA system has been upgraded to its latest release - Version 7.4.

ADINA (Automatic Dynamic Incremental Nonlinear Analysis) System is a set of programs for static and dynamic displacement and stress analyses of solids, structures and fluid structure systems. The package consists of five independent programs, namely, ADINA which is the main program, ADINA-IN, ADINA-PLOT, ADINA-T and ADINA-F.  ADINA-IN is for generating input data, ADINA-PLOT is for producing graphic displays of the input and/or output data, ADINA-T is used for the analysis of temperatures and ADINA-F is specially designed for fluid flow analysis.

To invoke ADINA 7.4, enter the following command after logging in the hkusua system.
 

    /usr/adina/tools/aui7.4
for all shells

Please refer to the 'Help' menu in ADINA for the features and the changes of this new release in comparison with its previous version. The Help menu can be accessed by starting the individual ADINA program and click 'Help' from the pull down menu at the upper right hand corner of the window.

ADINA users are reminded that an X-window display (on a Unix workstation or a PC X-emulator) is necessary to use the software properly.  If you have any questions relating to the software package, please contact the undersigned.
